The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fashion programme aims to address the requirements of the various specializations within the fashion industry. This includes fashion/costume design and production, retail and marketing. Learners are supported with contextual studies to understand how fashion designers inspire their creativity.
The works presented in this area are projects from the fashion graduands and derive from individual concepts which were then developed into a fashion collection. These young upcoming designers created a collection following a rigorous fashion design process, and the fabrics used were designed and sourced for each individual collection. The results witness the students’ creativity and manifest the evolution from the creative aspect through to the execution of each collection. These graduands are ready to explore the next step ahead in their fashion specialization and career.
