Matthew’s project integrates interactivity into design work to elevate the viewer’s experience. Combining the fields of concept art and user experience, this project explores how interactive processes can enhance the 2D visuals and mood of character concept art in the game production pipeline. By creating an interactive application, Matthew aims to change how people experience character concept sheets. In addition, his project may serve as an alternative pipeline tool for concept artists, 3D character artists, and art directors. Matthew feels that his method could help surpass limitations of traditional methods of presenting character concept sheets through 2D images.
