This dissertation study focuses on the role of props in story telling with special attention to the use of colour and how it ties emotions to the story portrayed. Mise-en- scène is another crucial part of the research study which analyses how it directs and dominates audiences’ attention and draws them into the narrative. The dissertation contains several videos that describe the process and learning with respect to mise-en-scène, and investigates the effectiveness of using props in storytelling. The focus of this study though is to demonstrate that a narrative story can be created and told entirely with props.
