Ryan Cauchi is an aspiring football sports journalist. His dissertation focused on examining the role that gender plays in football sports journalism. Using a qualitative approach, the researcher conducted one-on-one interviews with football journalists currently working in the field in Malta. The study aimed to investigate whether female journalists face discrimination and whether they are considered as credible and trustworthy as their male counterparts.
