Engraved Photos on Canvas
Roberta Saliba expresses her creative ideas mainly through gesture drawing and photomontage, sometimes used together in her mixed media artworks. Saliba’s research led to various trials using photography and the moving image to record snippets from everyday life using a playful technique of visual experiments. Saliba’s current project sprouts from her interest in the build-up of group dynamics. The main focus is human interaction and the resultant formation of particular relationships. A selection of photos is presented following a visual research project recording various groups of people in different settings.
