Dmitriy’s influences and interests are a juxtaposition of order and structure in Graphic Design and the visual style of Grunge. His project aims to combine these contrasting elements and explore the compelling outcomes by designing a magazine that documents the skateboarding subculture of Malta. Its purpose is to provide an authentic and comprehensive portrayal of the skateboarding community in Malta, highlighting the skaters’ activities, interactions, and the urban environments they frequent. Additionally, the magazine aims to foster a greater understanding, acceptance, and appreciation of
skateboarding within the local context by countering stigmas and misconceptions surrounding skateboarding.
